Fall SDP Update! Registration is full and closed for all age groups except for Kiddie Kicker I, U8 boys and girls and U10 girls. Coaches - You will be emailed your coach and team information by Monday 8/30. An important Coaches meeting is being held next Wednesday Sept. 1st from 6:30-8:00 at the Brandywine Town Center Community Hall. Please try to attend. Parents -You will receive an email from your coach with team and practice night information by Monday September 6th. Opening day is Saturday September 11th. Kiddie Kicker thru U10 practices begin Monday Sept 13th.
SDP Picture Day Saturday - October 2nd. Kiddie Kicker thru u10 .... Team and individual pictures ..... at Talley Day Park. Order forms will be available at the Snack bar ahead of that day.

U10 Girls Sonics win the "Shoot for the Cure" Soccer Tournament hosted by Montgomery Soccer Association on May 15th and 16th. The team chose this tournament to support cure for cancer. In addition, we also wanted to help spread the word about the B Positive foundation "Live Like Andrew". The team wore their B+ Jerseys in honor of Andrew, a former Concord soccer player who passed of Leukemia. We also handed out the B+ "Live Like Andrew" cards along with the Concord Soccer Patches. The Sonics were undefeated and scored a total of 23 goals in four games and only had 4 goals against; 2 being Penalty Kicks. Coached by Ed Judge and Sean Maas.
U12 Girls
Concord Avalanche participated in the EPIC tournament sponsored by
Yardley Makefield Soccer Club
Mother's Day weekend.
The Avalanche win the YMS Epic Tournament
Platinum Division. The Platinum division included among others, Pags Premier teams West Mont United Cheetahs & Warrington Freedom as well as Pags Championship Division winner Huntington Valley Pride & Runner Up Crusa Elite. After winning their bracket, the Avalanche defeated Inter-County League powerhouse Pearls Pride in the Championship game.

Concord Soccer Association benefits from Paul Campanella Auto & Tire and Uniroyal® Tire’s commitment to youth soccer

than $610 in both funds and equipment from Paul Campanella Auto &
Tire and Uniroyal® Tire as part of an ongoing commitment. The program
is currently in its tenth year of supporting youth soccer across the

CSA hosted its first “E” Certificate Coaching Course on Saturday, November 21st & Sunday, November 22nd in the North Wilmington area. The course was led by CSA’s Director of Coach and Player Development, Fran Kulas, a member of DYSA’s State Coaching Education Staff. Bob Bussiere, CSA’s Head Coach of the U14 Concord Nitro, also a member of DYSA’s State Coaching Education Staff, also served as an instructor for the course. Forget "Travel" Soccer
Now that I have your attention because of the title of this article, let me suggest that we all delete the word "TRAVEL" from our soccer vocabulary. For many in the soccer community, on hearing the word "TRAVEL" we immediately equate that to meaning "traveling a far distance" and absorbing an exorbitantamount of expenses along the way. Adult Soccer
CSA's Adult Soccer
2009-2010 Outdoor Pickup Soccer program continues into the fall with
games every Saturday through early November. Interested players must
register on-line at www.concordsoccer.com before attending. This
program runs from March to March annually, and is open to adult players
of all experiencelevels who want to participate in a friendly,
non-competitive atmosphere(or whose schedules don't allow a commitment to the regular schedule of NCC league games). Registration for the
2010-2011 season will open in February 2010. (Read More)
Field & Capital Campaign Update
We are on the home stretch now! The pressure is on to complete our capital campaign to pay for the ancillary items to open the fields. Our six plus acres of playing surface looks very inviting. It would be a terrible shame to have the fields ready but be unable to use them because of a few dollars. New Castle County code requires that we install lighting and pave our parking lot. The county code also requires a vast amount of landscaping, and a four-foot chain link fence needs to be installed at the top of the retaining wall for the safety of the players and spectators.
